Where are they now? November 11, 8pm on CBC TV Dragons Den (Rick Nash,NHL)
Although the success of the award winning company is now global, not all believed that Coretection or the products that they developed were worthy of a solid investment. Back in 2007 Bay pitched his pelvic stability shorts to CBC's Dragon's Den but left the Den without a deal. Well now Bay is back on an upcoming "where are they now" episode airing Nov. 11 on CBC that focuses on how far the Coretection company has come since first being on the show. Rick Nash, NHL player for the Columbus Blue Jackets and Team Canada, Bay and David Ayers from Under Armour will explain to viewers how Coreshorts benefit athletes from a player perspective and how the partnership with Under Armour came to fruition.
"Although Coretection Products Ltd was unsuccessful on the Dragon's Den, that didn't stop us from pursuing a product that we truly believed in," says Bay. "We were thrilled to be back on the Den and demonstrate how far we have been able to advance the product over the past two years. We are very excited to be in a partnership with Under Armour as Coreshorts will be available to everyone everywhere to improve performance and enhance core stability - a market that currently exceeds 50 million users."
